Accessibility Statement
The Outside Look should be straightforward to use and straightforward to work with.
We want people to be able to access our website, bookings, public sessions and private work without unnecessary barriers.
Our website
We aim to make our website clear, readable and usable across different devices and ways of accessing the web.
That includes:
clear headings and page structure;
plain language;
readable text and contrast;
meaningful links and buttons;
alternative text for useful images where appropriate;
keyboard-friendly navigation where the platform allows it; and
avoiding unnecessary movement, clutter and visual effects.
Booking and working with us
Every booking gives you an optional way to tell us if there is something we can reasonably do to make the session or work more accessible.
You do not need to give us a diagnosis or medical history.
Tell us what would help.
We do not charge extra for a reasonable accessibility adjustment.
In-person sessions
We check the accessibility of venues before opening public-event bookings.
Where a particular venue has limitations that could matter to attendees, we will make relevant information available rather than wait for somebody to encounter the problem on arrival.
Third-party systems
Some parts of the customer journey use services provided by companies such as Squarespace, Acuity and Stripe.
We cannot directly control every accessibility feature of those platforms, but we will choose and configure them sensibly and look for a reasonable alternative where somebody cannot use the normal route.
Tell us if something is getting in the way
If you find an accessibility problem with our website or service, or need information in another reasonable format, contact us at hello@theoutsidelook.scot
Tell us what you are trying to do and what would help.
We will look at the problem rather than asking you to prove why you need an adjustment.
