Cancellations & Refunds
Plans change. Here’s what happens if yours do.
These rules apply to all customers. Any additional statutory rights you have by law remain unaffected.
Masterclass and Clinic
You can book public sessions at short notice, subject to availability.
If you cancel 48 hours or more before the session:
You can choose a full refund or move your booking once to another suitable session.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before the session or do not attend:
There is normally no refund.
If you are still within a statutory or contractual cancellation period that gives you greater rights, those rights take priority.
Sessions booked within 14 days
If a Masterclass or Clinic takes place within 14 days of booking, you expressly request that we provide the service during that period.
You can still cancel before the service has been fully delivered where your cancellation right remains available.
Once the session has been fully delivered after the required request and acknowledgement, that cancellation right ends.
Private Lab
Private Lab can be booked from around three days in advance, subject to availability.
If your Private Lab takes place within 14 days of booking, you expressly request that we provide the service during that period.
If you cancel before the session starts while your statutory cancellation right is still available, you will receive a full refund.
Once the Private Lab has been fully delivered after the required request and acknowledgement, that cancellation right ends.
If the statutory cancellation period no longer applies, our normal private booking rules below apply.
Quick MOT
Quick MOT normally has a minimum 14 day booking lead time.
During any statutory cancellation period that still applies, you can cancel in line with your legal rights.
After that:
More than 7 calendar days before the work starts:
Full refund.
Between 48 hours and 7 calendar days before the work starts:
50% refund.
Less than 48 hours before the work starts, or a no show:
No standard refund.
Full MOT
Full MOT normally has a minimum 21 day booking lead time.
During the first 14 days after booking, you can cancel for a full refund. We will not begin substantive professional work during that period.
After that:
More than 7 calendar days before the work starts:
Full refund.
Between 48 hours and 7 calendar days before the work starts:
50% refund.
Less than 48 hours before the work starts, or a no show:
No standard refund.
These are maximum standard cancellation charges designed to reflect increasingly difficult to recover reserved capacity. They are not penalties.
If we materially recover the same cancelled capacity, for example by filling the exact private work slot, we will reduce the amount retained so we do not recover the same loss twice.
Moving private work
You may move a Private Lab, Quick MOT or Full MOT once at no extra charge where you ask more than 7 calendar days before the booked start.
Inside that period, the normal cancellation rules apply and a replacement date is a new booking.
If we cancel
If The Outside Look has to cancel, you can choose:
a full refund, or
a suitable priority reschedule at no extra cost.
Refunds
Refund percentages are calculated from the amount you actually paid.
We absorb any payment-processing fee that is not returned to us.
Where a refund is due, we will process it without undue delay and normally within 14 days, using the original payment method unless we agree something else with you. Current consumer rules require service-contract refunds following cancellation within 14 days.
